Weekend Adventure in the Borders 2019

On Friday 13th, of all dates, the BB set off on a new camp adventure down near the English border in Newcastleton. Arriving after a two hour journey south, the boys stayed in the plush surrounding of a log cabin. A real upgrade on their usual tent!
During the weekend they swam everyday. Who knew they liked swimming so much! They also kayaked and went to Hawick where they watched a local rugby game and hit the local shops. Well, they mainly bought sweets and juice with one even buying a kite!

Sunday was a busy day; morning was filled with sports before a 3 hour long gorge walk right on the border. Evening time saw the boys watch a film and play some games. The weekend finished with some high rope fun where you certainly neeeded a head for heights!

The BB would like to thank both Isobel Webber and Betty Clark for their contributions to the camp. The sticky toffee pudding and shortbread went down incredibly well. It kept a wee part of Craggan within our camp experience despite being in new surroundings!
