Company Music

We offer bagpipe lessons on a Sunday evening for those who are aged 8 and over. They are taught through a structured programme that aims not only to teach them the rudiments, but also to enjoy their piping. As well as learning how to play the bagpipes the group regularly go to watch performances of leading pipe bands.

Once they are confident bagpipe players, they can join Edinburgh, Leith and District Boys' Brigade Pipe Band. The Band plays at a wide variety of events both in Edinburgh and internationally including Belgium and Sweden. Every year the Band plays at Edinburgh Castle and this year the chief guest was Edinburgh Lord Provost George Grubb.

The pipers team up with the other musical talents that exist within the 65th such as our guitar players (amongst many others). This adds a contemporary feel to the music and is certainly enjoyed by all who listen!
